A long serving section brought over from the previous site, this Anime section now has broaden itself to include even the two other SF real character movies which were real flops in my opinion. Although both were pretty good attempts in mimicking the character moves, the storylines really didn't leave much for me to comment on. But nevertheless, they're still SF films! :) I'll juz have to enjoy!

If U have read the commentary and narrations on the animes from the previous site, I would recommend that U take a look at them again as I have redone the pages with new text and more or less some new screenshots. Certain scenes that were really good will be extracted from the source and posted under the Video Clips section so keep a close lookout for the clips.

Street Fighter 2 The Animated Movie (Japanese)

Street Fighter 2 The Animated MovieStreet Fighter fans rejoice! This is the first and so far best theatre length anime for Street Fighter. Its has very immaculate Japanese anime drawings and the animated chreography of each and every fight scene was so good that I was really left breathless! :) I've done the entire anime's narration here and U can simply click on the logo to begin reading it. Guess this is a consolation for those of U who missed it cos this is the uncensored version! :Þ Did NEone realise that Akuma was in the movie? He was! Juz watch closely when Ryu is in Calcutta! Now was he just spying on other fighters or will there be a sequal where he makes his official appearance? Only time will tell...

Street Fighter 2 Victory (Japanese)

Street Fighter 2 VictoryThis anime on an alternate universe of the familiar Street Fighter characters would be pretty sucessful if not for the fact that the fight scenes are really static... and more of less repeat themselves leaving U feeling less than deighted. Heh. NEway, Akuma is rampant around the entire anime too. (Like they don't always do that?) He's usually found as as a still image. Sometimes ganging up with the baddies, sometimes juz a bystander. There are approximately 29 episodes to this entire series and use to be aired every weekend in Japan as an early morning treat. What's unique about this particular anime is the way the characters are portrayed. Ryu having spiky hair, Ken being unbelievably rich and the likes. Click the logo to view the narrations for SF2V! :)

Street Fighters (English)

Street FightersThis is the not so popular SF series that was released as a weekly cartoon in the US. Much like Street Fighter the Movie, this cartoon series has Colonel William Guile as the main man and leader of an elite group of freedom fighters known as... well... the Street Fighters. Duh! Based upon the characters in Super Street Fighter 2, characters such as the new challengers are also included along with old school fighters such as Zangief and Honda. Much like cartoons for 10 year olds, the storyline and plot doesn't have much of a connection whatsoever but are acceptable nevertheless. Unfortunately the artwork is left less than desirable. NEway, the narrations for the first episode out of the entire 14 (one season) is available for your tasteful reading.

Street Fighter related films and movies

Street Fighter 2 The Movie (English)

Street Fighter 2 The MovieOh man! This is a really pathetic excuse to make some money outta us Street Fighter fans! The entire story revolves around Guile (Jean Claude Van Damme) and Cammy (Kylie Minogue). While Ryu and Ken along with the other characters take smaller and less significant roles. Guile, Cammy and Sawada brings the entire Shadowlaw under control and even has the opportunity to kick Bison's ass! (Umm, Raul Julia died a week after the shooting was complete!) Although I was reluctant to put this up with the other narrations, I felt that I needed to do some justice to the SF community and so here is the entire story which is for all to critisize! Heh! Click the logo to begin what U could've skipped! :p

Future Cops (Cantonese/Chinese)

Future Cops: A Street Fighter AdaptionLooks like most real life Street Fighter movies are flops! This only other Street Fighter movie was completely made in Hong Kong. Although the casting for the movie is very impressive, the storyline is well... simply bad. The main actor being Zhang Weijian, together with "Heavenly Kings" of the HK music scene such as Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau and Aaron Kwok grace the top of the star studded cast which also includes Ekin Cheng, Charlie Michelle Yeung and Simon Yam. I actually bought this VCD with the aim of letting fans who have no chance of knowing the Chinese impression of Street Fighter see what its like. There's also a small part of Dragonball in this movie where the main character changes into Sungoku! Don't U wish they would come up with a sensible Street Fighter movie?

City Hunter (Cantonese/Chinese)

City HunterThis isn't really a Street Fighter based movie but Jacky Chan mimics plenty of Street Fighter moves and dressings in one part of the movie which is depicted along with the narrations. To think that this little bit is enuff to push me into buying the VCD too! Heh. As this movie is not Street Fighter based, I shall not go into the storyline NE further except for the 10 mins that Jacky Chan changes from Chunli and Honda after being electrocuted by the arcade machine. Not only does it happen to him, his opponent also turns into Ken while two others transform to Dhalsim and Guile! The cast also includes Leon Lai, Joey Wong and of course the man himself... Jacky Chan!
