Part 2 of 4
Back in the northern part of Seattle, a cyborg is monitoring the happenings of a 'fight' between Ken and T. Hawk. T. Hawk tries to gain fame and glory by defeating warriors who have achieved many titles such as Ken. But Ken wasn't very interested in fighting him until T. Hawk got on his nerves. "Be careful what you ask for! Cos you just might get it!!!" Just as Ken finished speaking, he lunges for T. Hawk and kicks him on the face, making T. Hawk lose his balance. Then just as Ken touches the ground... SHORYUKEN! Ken hits T. Hawk with a powerful uppercut. He then prepares for a fireball but as T. Hawk has no more energy in him, Ken relaxes and walks away but T. Hawk tells him to finish it... Ken ignores him and continues out of the warehouse... once again, Ken tells himself that he is tired of waiting... "Ryu! Where the hell are you? We've got unfinished business!" He then speeds off in his car.
At this moment, Ryu is in Calcutta in India. While he was roaming around the streets, he accidentally knocks into a running kid and as she falls, so does the tin of milk she was carrying. The milk was actually for her sick mother and when Ryu realised that, he gave the little girl some money and told her to buy somemore milk for her mother. After the child runs off to get more milk, Ryu turns to face her mother and bows in respect and apology.
THE KIND SOUL... THE KIND SOUL...
As Ryu walked off, the screen focused on a man sitting by the roadside selling fruits... but on closer inspection, I concluded with much surprise that it was actually Gouki! Seriously! Take a look at the pic and see for yourself! Same black gi, same kinda red hair, who else could it be? Hmm... what the hell is he doing in the movie when he doesn't have a role to play?
A street fight involving Dhalsim and E. Honda caught Ryu's attention and he walked over to watch the fight. Even in India, a monitor cyborg was doing surveillance on street fighters. Dhalsim and E. Honda at this moment were being observed that is... Honda had the size advantage but Dhalsim had the mental advantage which he used well. With his knowledge of Yoga, Dhalsim attempted to 'hypnotise' E. Honda in a bid to win the match. This unfortunately was affected by Ryu as he was standing close and Dhalsim could feel 'another power' which shattered his concentration. Dhalsim tried to find the source of the power but to no avail because Ryu had walked off. The cyborg, seeing that Dhalsim was distracted, also scanned wherever Dhalsim looked. Taking advantage of the situation, E. Honda grabbed Dhalsim, slammed him into the ground and used his entire body weight to elbow Dhalsim. Dhalsim then gave up the fight... not because he couldn't win but because of Ryu's presence...
It turns out that Shadowlaw had plans for an assassination on Johan (who looked so much like the late Ghandi). The assassin is probably another one of the brainwashed street fighters that had absolutely no idea what he was doing. After doing his job of killing the Indian leader, he ran out of the square and he knocked into the girl who was going to return Ryu the change for the milk. The assassin was shot in the leg by the police and then silenced by his employers! The heroic Ryu then handles all the Shadowlaw people but unfortunately allowed the driver to escape.
After the child is taken away in an ambulance and finding out that Shadowlaw was the culprit, Ryu was approached by E. Honda who wanted to give him some money. Honda explained that if Ryu wasn't there during his fight with Dhalsim, he would have lost to the Yoga master! "We Japanese fighters have to stick together... coz we're brothers! Ahahaha!" was the only thing he could say after his big win...
The scene is then taken to somewhere in the sky where Bison receives a message from his scientist informing him that there was some information on a fighter similiar to Ryu. Bison rushes back to the Shadowlaw HQ and was shown clips of the battle between Ken and T. Hawk. He was also given the biodata on both Ryu and Ken as they had trained under the same master many years ago. Bison then decides to 'recruit' Ken to work for Shadowlaw. |
Back in the US, Chunli tries a second time to persuade Guile to cooperate with the Interpol to destroy Shadowlaw. She stands infront of his car and refuses to budge. Chunli even mentions about his best friend who was killed by Bison many years back. This irritates Guile alot. After much talking and a brief experience of Chunli's 'abilities', she manages to convince Guile that she also wants Bison dead cos he had killed her father, but putting personal revenge in front of the world's safety wasn't worth the risk. Guile then asks whether she wanted a ride with the excuse that he hated women who kept on talking and Chunli happily replied "Dare I turn down this invitation?" |
"ARE U MAN ENUFF TO CHECK OUT MY OTHER ABILITIES?"
Both of them flew to Los Angeles immediately to look for Deejay. Deejay has a very special style of fighting. He fights to the beat of music and he also hates people who do not like his type of music... like the punk who just got beaten up. Right then, Chunli and Guile arrived and they told him to help spread the word about the cyborgs and reminded him to be careful. Not believing about the cyborg stuff, Chunli proves to him that there are such robots scouting around and destroys a nearby cyborg as proof. Immediately, Deejay takes their advice seriously. Unknown to the trio, there was another cyborg on the roof sending clips of the trio back to Bison's plane. Bison was watching the video clip with Vega and recalled how he had caused Chunli's father's death. He then tells Vega to go 'play' with 'Ms Li'... "I'm sure you can conjure something with that mind of yours..." |
"I'LL BE A SON OF A BITCH! WHAT IS THAT THING? TIN CAN ON STERIODS?" | "I'LL BE A SON OF A BITCH! WHAT IS THAT THING? TIN CAN ON STERIODS?" |
The scene now shifts to a big party in Las Vegas where the boxer Balrog was helping Bison keep track of things at a 'crime convention'. Every crime boss from around the globe was present at this party. Meanwhile, the night's main event was a savage fight between the Russian Tsar of wrestling, Zangief and the Brazilian Beast, Blanka! Blanka came out fast and furious and Zangief was overwhelmed. After trading a few blows and obviously winning the green guy, Zangief point his finger at Balrog as a sign of challenge which totally angers the boxed. He then managed to do his trademark Spinning Piledriver on Blanka. But that beast recovered fast and did his Rolling Attack followed by a painful bite into Zangief's shoulder and shocking him with electricity when Zangief tried to pull his hair! I guess the match must've ended in Blanka's favour. |
We are now brought to Chunli's apartment where she is taking her bath. The quietness and dimness of her penthouse shows the simple life she leads day to day. The only sounds that are audible is of the water flowing out of the shower head and trickling down her body to the bathroom floor, telling us that she is alone... or is she? A shadow creeps across the wooden cupboard slowly... The phone rings as Guile tries to contact her from his cellular phone while driving along. He wonders what she's doing as no one picks up the phone. Little will he (and Chunli too) know the surprise she will be getting as soon as she comes out of the bathroom. |
